Imperator Angel or Emperor Angel is easily one of the largest of the Angel grouping. They can grow to a massive 12” but with that also means you need to be ready to have at least a tank of 125 gallons or more and this huge fish loves to move. Also, these big fish require a lot of work and are best suited for an experienced caretaker. With the monstrous size you should be warned it’s aggressive towards fish the same size and shape and will not tolerate another Angel anywhere near it.

They will need plenty of space to swim and lots of caves and rocks to hide in. Although they are big and aggressive their beauty is what makes them popular. The patterns and colors make it unlike anything else and definitely a focal point for a large tank. They have a bright blue body with yellow horizontal lines, a bright yellow tail and a yellow/blue mask across their eyes.

Most will eat flakes, pellets, live foods and really anything you want to feed it but remember to keep a balanced diet.
