The Red Coris Wrasse is also known as the Yellowtail Coris Wrasse or Clown Wrasse.
Their coloration will vary upon the stage of life they are in. The adult will look completely different from the juvenile Red Coris Wrasse. As a juvenile the body is orange with white stripes or dots on the back. As and adult the body will be orangish red with blue dots, green striped face and a yellow tail fin.
As adults they should be kept with other semi aggressive fish in a 125-gallon or larger tank with a tight lid because they like to jump out of the tank. The tank should have a sandy bottom for the wrasse to bury in to hide or sleep. If you have crushed coral or thicker sand I wouldn’t suggest buying this fish. They are not reef compatible and will eat coral and invertebrates. Their diet should include Mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and other meaty food along with marine flake or pellet food.
