Eibli’s Angelfish are known by the name Red Stripe Angelfish and Blacktail Angelfish and are a simple and common species of Angelfish. Their body is pearl with red/orange vertical stripes. The back of their body and tail fin are all black with a bright blue stripe on the end of the tail.
They grow around 4 1/3 inches max and are a little shyer than other dwarf angels. Tending to stay around the bottom of the tank darting between crevice and rock except for feeding time, which consists of half and half diet of meaty foods (mysis shrimp/brine shrimp) and veggie foods.
While they are not known to be super aggressive we wouldn’t recommend putting in aggressive fish after this one has become established as it might provoke it. Most Angelfish love rock algae and this one is no exception but this one doesn’t do so well around coral. We recommend a 55-gallon tank or more for this size fish especially more if you intend to add other larger fish.
