The Damselfish is a super popular fish and known for it’s vibrant colors. Blues, whites, blacks and some yellow all pop off the backgrounds when seeing them swim around. Highly territorial in the tank, they find a place and will protect it at all costs and that means being very aggressive if needed to be. They are usually used to cycle a new tan.
They don’t need a ton of space so anything over 20 gallons will make them happy but when adding other fish to the tank we recommend a slightly larger tank. They are found in most tropical reefs in the world and are not in any danger of extinction due to fast breeding and willingness to mate. Their diet usually consists of small crustaceans, plankton, algae, brine or mysis shrimp, and flake and other meaty foods.
