The Fire Goby is also known as the Firefish Goby, Magnificent Dartfish or Fire Dartfish and is one of the most popular gobies. The front half of their body is white and the back half is reddish orange. Their head is yellow and they have a long fin protruding straight up. Not suggested to keep more than one Fire goby in a tank unless they are a mated pair because they can become aggressive towards each other. The Fire Goby would be best kept in a 10 gallon tank or larger that has medium lighting and water flow, live rock with caves for them to hide, and live sand. Make sure your tank has a tight fit lid because they are known to jump out of tanks. They will eat algae and plankton growing in your tank but they should also be fed at least two times a day. Their diet should consist of frozen or fresh seafood, shrimp, and small crustaceans.
