The Soap Fish Grouper, a slimy toxin filled grouper, able to coat its body in a film that makes predators leave alone but also makes prey harder to fight back. The white and brown bodies with black stripe like patterns on top while being covered in white and yellow spots help it camouflage it from hunting. This large fish are slightly less aggressive than the normal grouper but that doesn’t mean its best suited to share a tank with anything smaller still. In fact the toxin from its body can sometimes effect the fish in the same tank so make sure to have a large build of over 150 gallons so the filtration and the fish are safe. This grouper can get to around 18” and should be fed shrimp, scallops, clams, squid and other heavy meaty foods.
