The Flagfin Angelfish, or commonly known as Threespot Angelfish, are a sight to behold, if you can get them to not be so timid. These specific angels love to hide but the bright yellow body and bright blue mouth are a dead give away to spotting it. Flagfin Angels are more of an advanced fish to care for, as they are easily stressed and semi-aggressive so introducing them young may be the best key.
As it grows you should be looking to have around a 125-gallon tank or larger with plenty of rock for them to fed on and plenty of places for it to hide. They don’t do well with corals and will be seen eating stony corals, sessile invertebrates, and clams.
They have a very particular diet, which is another reason why they are a harder fish to care for. They prefer to mainly eat sponges and have a hard time adapting to other food. You might be able to get them to eat Mysis or brine shrimp but be sure there is plenty of plant material and algae in the tank for them to graze upon.
