A different kind of fish thought to be a puffer but found out to be an entire different species exists and it’s called the Boxfish. They come in vibrant colors, and are chubby, little bony, and peaceful fish.
They should be handled by an expert aquarist only because they can release a toxin, when stressed, which will disrupt or even harm all of the other fish inside of you tank. Because of this toxin they should be kept in a tank with only peaceful fish and there should be plenty of live rock and space to swim.
They are omnivores and will algae, squid, crustaceans, clams, krill, seaweed, mysis or brine shrimp.
