The thin, red striped pattern of the Long Nose Hawkfish followed by the stretched out nose makes this one very unique fish. Keep it in a 20 gallon tank or larger. They grow to a max of 4 inches and much like other Hawkfish they make their own perch up top the rocks and coral waiting for food. They have great personalities and are fun to watch. They can become territorial and should be added to the tank last because they will likely harass new additions to the tank. If kept in a reef aquarium they will eat invertebrates in your tank. They are carnivores and will mainly eat frozen preparations and live feeder shrimp.
