The Spotted Hawkfish is also known as the Pixy Hawkfish or the Coral Hawkfish. They have a white body with black and orange-red spots on the upper half of their body. They are aggressive towards smaller fish and should be kept in a 30 gallon tank or larger with semi aggressive larger fish. They grow to a max of 3 inches and much like other Hawkfish they make their own perch up top the rocks and coral waiting for food. They can become territorial and should be added to the tank last because they will likely harass new additions to the tank. If kept in a reef aquarium they will eat invertebrates in your tank. They are carnivores and will mainly eat frozen preparations and live feeder shrimp.
