Like all the other puffers they lack pelvic fins and us the pectoral fins to move around in the tank. They have a beak like mouth that helps them crush food. When they become stressed or threatened they will puff up to double their size. This is a defense mechanisms to scare away the predators. They should be kept in a fish only tank that is 30 gallons or larger. They will do well with tangs and non-aggressive triggerfish. Once acclimated to your tank they will eat a variety of meaty marine food consisting of squid, krill, shrimp, clams and other meaty food.
