The Cleaner Wrasse, also known as the Bluestreak Cleaner Wrasse is a small fish with an elongated body.
Usually blue on top separated by a black band and a white underbody. They are reef safe and peaceful fish but we would recommend only experienced aquarist buy them. These wrasses form a symbiotic relationship with other species. They like to set up a cleaning station where they will remove parasites and other unwanted debris from the fish. They will perform a dance to invite the fish to their cleaning station.
They should be kept in a 60 gallon tank or larger with plenty of space to swim because they are a very active fish. Like other wrasses they are known as jumpers and will leap from your tank if the lid is not tightly fit. They are a difficult fish to maintain due to their diet. Feedings of small Mysis and brine shrimp should be done 2-3 times a day because they don’t eat a lot at one time. It likes to hide in live rock as well as bury itself in the sand bed. Hard fish to maintain but great fish to keep other fish parasite free!
