The Six Line Wrasse also known as the Sixstripe Wrasse is one of the more popular wrasse species. It would be a great addition to any tank and they are reef safe.
What makes them so popular is their active lifestyle. They love to dart in and out of your rocks and reef. Besides its active life these wrasse are also very beautiful. They have a blue body with six orange horizontal lines and a green tail.
They should be kept in a 40 gallon tank or larger with lot of rock so they can hid in. They will also and also search for small crustaceans, snails, and worms to eat in the rock. The Six Line Wrasse is usually a very peaceful fish but can become aggressive towards other smaller fish if they don’t have enough food or places to hide. Besides the food it finds amongst the rocks these wrasse also eat Mysis shrimp, brine shrimp and other meaty food.
