The Copperband Butterfly is also known as the Beaked Butterflyfish or the Orange Stripe Butterfly. It has an unusual look due to its unusual long protruding snout. They have a white body with yellow/orange vertical stripes that are edged in black. On the dorsal fin there is a black false eyespot. They should be kept in a 100-gallon tank or larger with plenty of places to hid in the rock. They are peaceful fish and should be kept in a peaceful community tank and only one butterfly per tank. They like to use their snout to dig into holes and crevices to find worms and other small food so live rock will also be a plus in your tank. They shouldn’t be kept in a tank with aggressive fish or any fish that cause stress. They are known to pick at invertebrates and should be cautious when adding them to a tank with coral. They will be a great fish to help rid your tank of any aiptasia or glass anemone. They are difficult to feed and tend to be shyer when feeding. For this reason they should be offered a variety of foods which include Mysis shrimp, frozen foods, and crustacean flesh. They should be getting fed 2-3 times a day.
