The Powder Brown Tang is also known as Japan Surgeonfish, Powder Brown Surgeonfish, or White-Faced Surgeonfish.
Just like the name says this fish has a brown body with a white mark on the cheek between the mouth and eyes. Besides the tail all the other fins are dark brown with light blue tips. Along the anal and dorsal fin there is a yellow stripe forming a wishbone on the fish. The dorsal fin has an orange stripe and the tail is blue with a yellow stripe. Just like most tangs the Powder Brown is aggressive towards other Tangs and Surgeonfish. Only one per tank! They should be kept in a 75 gallon tank or larger with plenty of space to swim and live rock with algae already growing in the tank. The Powder Brown Tang is pretty picky when it comes to food when first introduced to your tank so be sure you have algae growing until they become acclimated to the tank. Once they have settled in they will eventually eat what other fish are eating in the tank- worms, brine shrimp, algae, and other vegetarian options.
