The Purple Pseudochromis is also known as the Strawberry Dottyback, Magenta Dottyback, or the Purple Dottyback.
This Pseudochromis is a solid bright purple. They are easy to maintain and are very hardy fish. They should be kept in a semi aggressive to aggressive tank where they are the smallest fish in the tank. They will do well with Tangs, Angelfish, Damsels, and other large semi aggressive fish. They should be kept in a 30-gallon tank or lager with rock formation and caves where they can hide. They will find a cave and stay in there until it is time to eat. If other fish get close to their home they can easily defend themselves against fish up to 2 to 3 times their size. Might take them time to start eating but once they are acclimated to the tank they will eat Mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, and other frozen meaty foods.
