As bold and beautiful as the Regal Angelfish it’s equally one of the most timid and shy angelfish available. It is a very bright fish and has beautiful vertical markings of blur, yellow, white, or orange along the body. It should be kept in a well-established 125-gallon tank or larger with caves for it to hid.
It is one of the more difficult Angelfish to care for and should be added to your tank before other fish so it can get comfortable and establish its home before other fish. You can add it to a reef tank with caution they have been known to eat LPS corals and invertebrates. Sometimes you can keep them in a tank with SPS corals if there is plenty of algae and food keeping it happy. Besides algae they will also eat shrimp, sponges and other herbivore foods.
