The Unicorn Tang is also known as the Bluespine Unicorn Tang and Unicornfish. The Unicorn Tang is so called because of the long horn that grows from its forehead.
The Horn will usually start developing when the fish gets to about 6 inches. It is blue-green in color and has blue edges on the dorsal and anal fins. Near the tail you will see two bright blue dots. The tail is very sharp and is used to ward off competitors for food as well as defense. They will be aggressive towards their own species but will be peaceful with other fish. You should keep this fish in a 150 gallon tank or large with plenty of swimming space and places to hide. They will eat the meaty food you feed other fish in your tank but they are herbivores and will mainly eat seaweed and algae. They should be fed algae or seaweed at least 3 times a week.
